White dresses at Zara

The summer sales has started in London so I could not resist taking a peek at some of the stores to see if there are any good bargains.

Zara can be a hit and miss for me some time. Although they stock XS/6 in majority of their design, I still feel the fitting is not perfect for petite. Being short at just under 5" not many style at Zara gives that perfect fitting, because it more suited to the taller women.

I tried two white dresses that were on sale. The first dress (left of photo) looked big on me and the length was longer then I liked.

The second white dress (middle of photo) was a better fit in the fitting and length. But did not get it because I was unsure about the fitting on the top half of the dress for a petite person like me.

I ended up empty handed from trying white dresses to walking back out in my pink and black outfit. By conincident both items I worn today was from Zara a few years ago.

Pink Nails (Nail Inc London)

Pale colours are the latest nail colour trend for Spring/Summer 2015. But I am trying not to buy more nail polish until I have finish the ones that I have already got in my collection.

Last year I was given a set of Nails inc. 2014 spring summer collection which were inspired by the catwork. These are all high gloss finish which does not seem to fit in the 2015 trend of pale and matt finish.

Neitherless, I decided to give it a try with the palest colour in the set, which is the baby pink (there are no colour identity on each bottle). This is the first time I have use Nails inc. and my first impression was one coat is not enough coverage. You need minimum of two or three coats to get a good coverage.

It is high gloss finish as described on the box but I don't feel it is long lasting. By the end of the evening with two coats I did in the morning, two of my nails had small chips. This was easily covered by reapplying with a small dab of nail polish.

I decided to add some nail stickers on top that I brought from Superdrug a few years ago, to make the pink a bit more interesting, The outcome is some thing very girly!

Steak Night At Flat Iron

It is a steak night at Flat Iron which is a London restaurant that specialise in flat iron cut for £10. There are special of the day such as the flat iron burger served on St John bakery bun. This changed on the day but one cut that does not change is their flat iron cut.

Follow on from dinner we moved on  to another part of West End to have dessert. There I treated myself to an ice cream sundae all to myself. I do regret this because by the time I got to the milk chocolate it was too sweet.

I am fully stuffed from all the food that we had for a Saturday. It has been a food treat for me the last few days.

London Symphony Orchestra Open air classics 2015 (Trafalger Square)

It was a great experience to be at this year London Symphony Orchestra Open Air Classics that was held at Trafalgar Square. This year the theme was music by composer Dmitri Shostakovich. To be honest I have not idea about this composer and more familiar with Beethoven or Mozart. But it gave me the opportunity to learn about this composer.

It would had been nicer if the temperature of the weather was warmer, but looking on the bright side it at least did not rain Lucky we took the advise to get their early and thank you to friends who got as great seating near one of the foutain.

If you did not manage to make it this year then I have collated clips from this year performance by LSO.

We were cold after the concert that we headed on to chinatown for some warm team and food. I had a roast rice with soy chicken and roast duck.
