2014 Blogmas 4

There has been different design of Paddington the bear around London to celebrate the film that has been release. I am not a fan of the bear but I seem to get a rush of excitement when I find one.

Today I find another one called 'Wonder of the world Paddington' which was located near The Shard.

There is some thing about this Paddington bear and photo that I like, which makes me want to share it with you all.

What do you feel when you see this photo?

2014 Blogmas 3

Decided to bake a Pizza Express pizza at home as Sainsbury was doing an offer on the classic topping - 2 pizza for £5. It has been a while since I had their pizza and dough balls. I follow this with baking Gu After Dark Chocolate Soufflé which was also an offer at Sainsbury. It was light and fluffy, bit did not raise as much as I expected.

I have tried their soufflé before and they are tasty - not too sweet and great with a cup of cappuccino or a tea. Nice way to end my Saturday evening.

2014 Blogmas 2

Christmas comes early! The order has finally arrive after a slight delay from the department store. I really want to share it with you all becuase the packaging is beautiful. It was like opening a surprised gift and it was loads of WOAH!

Each items in the packaging were layered by big bubble wraps and there were even tissue wraps that has the department signature colour 'yellow'. The box itself was luxury with the inside being a glossy yellow.
It is interesting how you can get happiness from just a packaging. The amount of different it makes from ordering a parcel at one store compare to another.

2014 Blogmas 1

Can you believe how time quickly fly pass! We are already in December and it is not long until Christmas day.

I have not done any festive shopping having been so busy the last few months. The nearest festive shopping I have done was over the black Friday weekend. It was a great opportunity to see what was on offer for any needed household good.

Christmas has definitely come early for me!

Singapore's Pandan Cake

Recently a friend and his wife flew over from Singapore to celebrate my brother's birthday. He brought us a Pandan cake from one of Singapore popular bakery.

When I open the box you get that Pandan fragrance which reminded me of Singapore. It is not because the air smell of Pandan, but my first trip to Singapore.

The cake was really yummy. Thank you to my dearest friend for taking the effort to bring it over.

Tahato Caramel Corn

I have become addicted to these yummy caramel corn that was brought back from Hong Kong. At first I thought they were the usual corn snacks but until I put one in my mouth did I realise they were caramel flavoured.

They have the texture of a corn snack but has sweet taste of the caramel. The taste reminded me of caramel popcorn.

These pack of caramel corn has been my friends at work. Unfortunately, I have gone through all the pack. I need to find new

office snacks to tickle my taste buds.

Hotel Chocolat Cocoa Vault

I am having another busy week which included a chocolate evening at Hotel Chocolat's Cocoa Vault. The event was an interesting one, as we got to learn a lot about chocolate. We got to try different chocolate with different alcohol filling and my favourite was the mojito filled chocolate.

We did not leave empty handed, as each person got a goodie bag with more chocolate to indulge at home. I am loving Hotel Chocolat!

Uncertainty, Big decisions & Worries

This week has been stressful with the combination of work and other things in my life. It is not the right timing for many things at the moment, with it being the most busiest time of the year in the office.

Life at the moment is full of uncertainty, many big decisions and worries.

Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream

My cousin brought me a 25g Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream - Pomegranate, Argan & Grapeseed hand therapy. Thank you to my cousin for the gift.

It smells sweet and fruity and the the tube size is great travel size to have in handbag or for holiday.

I love Crabtree & Evelyn hand cream and have two 250ml size sitting at home. The Gardeners hand cream makes your hands feel soft which is great to be sitting around the house with it pump bottle. One for the kitchen is the Citron, Honey & Coriander Hand Therapy, which has fresh lemon smell. I even have 100g in my office to keep my hand feeling soft and brings a fresh smell of lemons.

Gifts from the other side of the world

A friend located all the way from China sent a gift to her London friends. So sweet of her to know we are still remembered even when we are in different part of the world.

We got a pack of cute poker cards for games night and a set of candy for every one to get some sugar boost, along with a pretty postcard which I have now kept on my fridge.

We can not wait until you return to London in a few months and have more fun on the court "respecting our opponent" as you always tell me :)

Rimmel 60 Seconds - 405 Rose Libertine

It is nails painting this weekend and going through my nail polish collection I choice my Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish in 405 (Rose Libertine). I love the colour as it is pretty and girly that goes well for spring/summer season.

I have previously used Rimmel 60 Seconds nail polish and love it for the variety of colours. It is great if you in short of time to paint your nails because it dries in seconds (never have time to see if it dries in 60 Seconds like it says on the bottle). It is apparently a one-coat nail polish but this is providing you take a thick coat of polish. Otherwise you can find that you will require a second coating to cover the nail.

Cooking

Lately I have been spending a lot of my time cooking at home. It has been another way to enjoy food. Instead of enjoying food that is cooked by others in a restaurant, it is enjoying my own cooked dishes.

Thank you to J&K for the Hello Kitty apron. I have been making good use of the apron since receiving it in the post.

Weekend In The Kitchen

This weekend I spent some time in the kitchen and it seem like this is my form of de-stressing myself. I suppose it helps to take my mind off from things for a few minutes or hours.

So what was the highlight..........

Saturday
I got up early on Saturday to make these brownies and it was surprising how easy to make them. Well apart from worrying when they were ready to take it out of the oven as I did not want to over-cook them and becomes rocks. But lucky they came out just fine and the texture was even better the next day.

Sunday
Woke up this morning to see a bright sunny weather but I decided to stay indoor to make a Dynamite broth from the Itsu recipe book I recently brought. I used the broth to create a udon soup with grilled chicken, vegetables and Japanese fish roll. Yum!

Happy Birthday To Me - 2014

For my birthday this year, my brother ordered a tasty birthday cake from Patisseries des Reves (43 Marylebone High St, Marylebone, London W1U 5HE). As the patisseries do not decorate the cake and can only add a chocolate plate with a mesage of your choice, a friend decorated the cake. It was beautifully decorated cake and I have to say it was so me. Thank you to Nickie for adding the special touch to the cake.

The flavour of the cake was full of vanilla and was a mousse texture. I really loved it as it was not too sweet and light as well. Great one to have as a dessert after dinner!

Credit to my friend Nickie for handmaking the flowers on the cake and decorating the cake.

I was not expecting a cake because already said to my brother that it was fine not to get me one, because I wanted the Roka dessert platter that is served in a boat and cost £56. Yes, it was the most expensive dessert I have had but we all said it was a good dessert and even better then the rest of meal.

Roka Mayfair

Thank you to my family, all my friends for making my birthday in 2014 special. Sorry to all those I could not invite to my birthday dinner at Roka but who still got me a birthday present. You did surprised me!

Welcome 2014!

It's my first post on this new blog of my world. I must be crazy to start a blog when I might not even find the time to post. But who knows what the new year will bring.
